Psychotherapy and Evaluations
Have you been fighting with food and your body for years?
For so many women, feeding ourselves is a struggle. We want to be healthy and feel good about our bodies, and we want to be able to enjoy food - but we get so many messages telling us that our bodies are never good enough and that we need to deprive ourselves to like our bodies.

There is another way.

Intuitive eating is a radical approach to food and body that teaches you to get back to your body's cues about hunger and fullness. It throws out the notion of "good" and "bad" foods - and the toxic messages about being a good or bad person that often come with that. You'll learn to pay attention to your body's needs and to tune out the noise of blame and shame that our society attaches to things like eating for pleasure and having a larger body. You'll also learn how to set *actual* health goals instead of just goal weights - moving towards the goals of gentle nutrition and enjoyable movement without tying health or self-love to a number on the scale.

Therapy can help you to understand how you learned to feel this way about your body and about food, and it can show you how to move towards a healthier you that you can love, without deprivation and self-attack. It can help guide you toward a more compassionate way of feeding yourself - body and spirit.
